During my time on this website, I’ve gotten to be introduced to many wonderful artists with their own unique visual styles that speak to the type of person they are. And though I’m a proponent of the idea that a person should do things like drawing or animating for sheer fun and enjoyment, it does admittedly bum me out when some online talent goes overlooked. Which brings me here today, having come to the decision to use my own platform to shed some spotlight on one such artist. Happsz has been around on DA for around over a year now, and has demonstrated themselves to have quite promising talent. Mainly dabbling in creating fan art for under-appreciated cartoons such as It’s Pony and Middlemost Post, their drawings immediately pop out is there implementation of shading and use of highlighting on characters, carefully taken into consideration with whatever environment they’re in, that really helps make what would-be simple illustrations feel more alive. So here's something I thought would be fun to do. Over the next 365 days, I have set myself a challenge to draw one or more characters from a different animated series each day until the end of the year (I'll also be including some characters animated films or shorts as well). Keep an eye on the deviation above, for it will be continually updated in the future, getting much bigger and much more packed. Characters will be listed in the order of when I drew them below.
